How Healthy is Pickaway County?

As part of Ohio’s public health standards, local health departments work in partnership with their communities to understand and improve population health. Pickaway County Public Health (PCPH) completed its most recent Community Health Assessment (CHA) in 2023, with a reassessment in 2026. This assessment is continuously updated to reflect the changing needs, strengths, and challenges of our community.

 

Assessing community health is only the first step. Turning data into action is where real change happens. The Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) guides that work by identifying priority health issues and outlining strategies to build on what’s working and address areas where improvement is needed. The CHIP is led by Pickaway County Public Health with strong collaboration from community agencies, organizations, and partners across the county.

Together with the CHA and CHIP, PCPH’s Strategic Plan aligns our priorities, resources, and actions to ensure we are effectively serving the community and making measurable progress toward a healthier Pickaway County.
